Uchi.ru, the parent company of DinoLab, was set up in 2012 in Moscow, Russia. Nowadays it is the biggest EdTech company for school education in Russia – 50% of the school students in the country study on Uchi.ru.
The founders are two mathematicians, Ivan Kolomoets and Evgeny Milutin. The main goal was to create a tool that would help students to study independently, fill in the gaps in their knowledge and keep up with the curriculum.
First was the launch of the mathematics course, then the courses of other subjects were gradually developed, covering the entire school curriculum. All content has passed scientific and pedagogical expertise and was approved by the Russian Academy of Sciences.
In 2016 Uchi.ru received the status of a leadership project in the field of education from the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and was presented to the President of the Russian Federation, H.E. V.V. Putin.
In September 2019, in cooperation with the regional ministries of education, Uchi.ru launched the Digital School project. Within its framework, schools conduct classes using the Uchi.ru platform and apply innovative blended learning models. The project is being implemented in ten regions of the Russian Federation.
In April 2020, Uchi.ru got second place in the SimilarWeb rating of the top educational websites in the world.
